<p>Yes, there is no direct option to uninstall windows desktop search, which is competitors for Google desktop search. I installed WDS with curiosity to know if there are any improvements over google’s desktop search, but to my disappointment its not that good. So I tried to uninstall to save some space and indexing cycles, but to my surprise there is no direct way to uninstall it, its not existing in controlpanel-&gt; add or remove programs. I googled and found the below given command and it worked on my XP(SP2). Execute the below given command in a command prompt</p>
